Event moving
The certificate and the elevator are settled before the crew arrives
Most event spaces come with a rulebook. When a certificate of insurance sits in those pages, it goes to the venue’s management company from us, and the freight elevator is reserved as soon as your date is confirmed. If the venue has sent you paperwork you would rather hand off, call (212) 203-3171 and we will work through it with you.
Everything is wrapped before it is loaded, so nobody is taping up a mirror in the doorway while your window runs down. Blankets go over the fixtures and the framed work, and the door frames and tight corners are padded before anything comes through them. Our licenses, federal and New York State, sit on record for any venue that wants to check, and when a whole office is moving rather than a single event, our commercial moving crews take that on.

What sets an event figure, and what it buys
- The scale of the build
- a counter and a clothing rail make a shorter day than a floor of exhibition stands.
- How the venue lets us in
- tell us whether the venue has a dock, because without one every case goes through a shared corridor and up in a booked elevator.
- The window on the day
- a tight window means more movers on the floor at once, and those extra hands sit in the price from the start.
- Curb space at the venue
- the streets around busy event spaces have little spare curb, so we read the signs outside the venue well before the date.
- Packing and wrapping help
- hand us the packing of stock and fixtures and the price folds into your quote.
Add-on
Packing for the pieces the event depends on
Some pieces cannot miss the opening, so we pack those ourselves and mark each one for the corner of the build it belongs to. Ask for packing when you request your quote, and the price you approve covers it along with the move itself.
Storage, picked up and brought back
If the new place isn’t ready yet, we arrange the storage and load your things in ourselves, still wrapped from the move. When you have the keys, we bring it all back.
What event teams ask us
The venue needs a COI before it will confirm our slot. Can you sort that?
We can. Give us the management contact for the space while the quote is coming together and the certificate goes straight from us to them, with nothing for you to ferry back and forth. It goes out once the job is confirmed, because most venues will not release the slot until they have it.
Can you work inside our access window?
The window is the first thing we ask about. Send us the hours you have been offered, because that decides how many movers come and the order the truck is emptied in. If the window looks too tight for what is going in, we'll say so before anything is booked.
Can the price change once the crew is on site?
No. It's priced from what you tell us before the date, from the fixtures and stock on your list to how a crew gets in and out of the venue, and once you have it in writing it holds. A slow day at the dock costs you nothing more.
Is the load-out part of the same booking?
It can be. Quote the two together and one guaranteed price covers both ends of the event, or come back to us for the load-out once the strike date is set. Either way the pieces leave the venue wrapped the same way they arrived.
Can you store the fixtures once the event closes?
Yes. As the build comes down, every piece is wrapped and checked onto an inventory sheet, then sits in storage we arrange until the next space is confirmed. Ask about storage with your quote and it's priced into the same figure.
Our event is only a couple of weeks out. Too late to ask?
Send the date through anyway. A venue COI has to be approved and elevator time reserved before a crew can start, and both run at the management company’s pace, so the paperwork usually sets the limit on a short lead. Give us the venue name along with the scope, and the certificate is the first thing we file once you book.
