Accessibility Statement
Effective date: August 6, 2026
Keepsake Moving & Storage wants everyone to be able to use keepsakemoving.com, whether that's reading about our services, getting a quote, or reaching us, regardless of ability or the technology they use. This page explains what we have built toward that goal, where we still have work to do, and how to tell us when something gets in your way.
Our standard
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. This is a target we build against, not a certification we hold: the site has not been audited by a third party, and we do not claim full conformance. It is a new site under active development, and accessibility is part of how we build it rather than something bolted on afterward.
What we have built so far
Concrete measures currently in place on this site:
- Semantic structure. Every page uses proper landmarks (header, navigation, main content, and footer) and a logical heading order, so screen readers can move through pages by structure.
- Keyboard access. The site can be navigated by keyboard. All interactive elements show a visible focus outline, and navigation menus open on keyboard focus and close with the Escape key.
- Accessible forms. Every field in our quote form and contact form has a visible text label tied to its input. Validation errors are announced to screen readers as they appear, each step of the multi-step quote form is named for assistive technology, and error messages are written in plain language.
- Reduced motion. If your device is set to prefer reduced motion, the site's scroll-reveal and transition animations are switched off and all content displays immediately.
- Text alternatives. Meaningful images carry descriptive alt text; decorative graphics are hidden from screen readers.
Work in progress
We review pages as we build and change them, and we fix accessibility issues as we find them, but a site this new will have gaps we have not caught yet. If you find a page or feature that does not work with your screen reader, keyboard, magnifier, or other assistive technology, we genuinely want to hear about it.
Report a barrier
If anything on this site is hard or impossible for you to use, please tell us:
- Email: kieran@keepsakemoving.com
- Phone: (212) 203-3171
It helps if you can tell us the page you were on, what you were trying to do, and the browser or assistive technology you were using, but a rough description is fine. We will respond to every accessibility report and work to fix confirmed barriers.
If you can't use the site at all
Nothing on this website is the only way to reach us. You can get a quote, ask a question, or book a move entirely by phone at (212) 203-3171 or by email at kieran@keepsakemoving.com, and you can find every way to contact us on our contact page.
