NYC to Connecticut movers with the whole trip on one guaranteed price
Moving trucks are barred from the Merritt Parkway, so a Connecticut move runs up I-95 with the load wrapped and braced for whatever the road does that day. A single guaranteed price is settled before anything is carried, and it holds from your front door to the new driveway.

NYC to Connecticut
The hard half happens before the highway
Whether you land in Stamford or out past Hartford, the awkward hours are the ones spent getting a sofa out of a New York building. Your certificate of insurance is ours to sort with the management company, and where your building keeps a freight elevator, it is booked ahead in our name. Where the truck parks on your street gets settled before the morning it matters. If the phone is easier, (212) 203-3171 comes straight to us.
At the Connecticut end the crew carries each piece through to the room you point at, unwraps it where it stands and walks the blankets and shrink wrap back out to the truck, so your first evening in the house is not spent stepping over padding.
Up the coast and inland
Moves into Connecticut
Stamford and Greenwich
These are the first commuter stops past the state line, and downtown Stamford's towers can ask for the same building paperwork a Manhattan address does.

The coastal towns along the New Haven Line trade the freight elevator for a driveway, so the wardrobe that had to be angled through a city hallway walks straight in.

A graduate-student apartment in East Rock and a family house in Westville both travel on one price that was settled before loading.

The run up I-91 puts real distance beyond the coastal towns, and those miles are counted into the price before it reaches you.

Some moves skip the coast entirely and run up through Westchester to Danbury and Brookfield, which keeps the truck off I-95 for the whole trip.

We wrap a single bedroom's worth with the same care as an entire brownstone, and every mattress is sealed into a cover before it leaves the bedroom.

What builds a Connecticut quote
- The size of what's moving
- a Murray Hill studio leaves most of the truck empty, and a four-bedroom bound for Westport fills it wall to wall.
- How deep into Connecticut you go
- Greenwich sits just over the line while Hartford adds the run up I-91, and the price follows the real distance.
- The way in and out
- if the sofa has to come down five floors or wait its turn for a freight elevator, that time belongs in the price, so tell us how both ends load.
- The curb outside your building
- not every block leaves room for a truck, so the spot it will occupy on your street is settled days before we load.
- Whether we do the boxes
- ask and we will wrap and box a corner of the place or all of it before the drive.
Add-on
Packing built for the ride up I-95
The Cross Bronx will find anything that was packed in a hurry, so each carton gets filled to the top and taped shut rather than left half empty. Glasses go into paper one at a time, and every box carries the name of the room it belongs to in the new house. Whatever we pack joins the same guaranteed price as the move.
Storage, picked up and brought back
If the new place isn’t ready yet, we arrange the storage and load your things in ourselves, still wrapped from the move. When you have the keys, we bring it all back.
Connecticut moving FAQs
What stops the price changing between here and Connecticut?
The number is built before the truck rolls, from what you share about the move in the quote form. Once you accept the price it is fixed, and a slow crawl out of the city on moving day costs you nothing extra.
Can you legally move me from New York to Connecticut?
Yes. The authority a mover needs to cross state lines is held in our own name, so the job stays in our hands from your doorway in the city to the one in Connecticut. The registrations behind it are on our licenses page any time you want a look.
When do my things get to Connecticut?
Your dates decide it. The delivery day is agreed between us while the quote takes shape and written on it, so before you book anything you know which day the truck pulls up at the new house.
Can I hand you the packing as well?
Gladly, and you choose how much of it we take on. Some people want only the breakable cupboards handled, while others would rather not tape a single box themselves. Ask for packing with your quote and one price covers all of it.
What happens when the Connecticut closing misses my move-out date?
A late closing is a familiar story, and we bridge it by arranging storage inside the same move. The crew empties the apartment on the last day of your New York lease, and everything sits in arranged storage until the closing goes through and Connecticut can take it. Share the two dates early and those weeks are priced inside the same guarantee.
When should we start talking dates?
A few weeks out is ideal, since your management company will take its own time signing off the certificate of insurance. With less notice than that, the certificate becomes the first thing to chase, so give us the name of the management office when you ask for the price.
